Where?

Where are we going to get the personnel necessary to accomplish Obama's "red line" response?  He's been downsizing the military.  He's been "retiring" mature, seasoned military minds because they haven't agreed with his policies.  Now those policies require those with a different mind to back him up.  Where are they?  And why would they (back him up)?

Asking his military advisors what the military is capable of is totally different that deciding what he is going to ask them to do.  Simply because the Pentagon says "it can be done," doesn't mean there is one ounce of wisdom in doing "it."

Will this action in Syria cost Obama his Nobel Peace Prize?  Will he have to give back the $1 million dollar prize?

How can General Dempsey, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, from the Pentagon, NOT have Syrian troop numbers, pro and con, committed to memory??!!  That's like me not knowing how much money I have (or don't have) in my bank account!  It's kind of important to my decision-making processes!  He says in additional testimony that he has information he'd rather not share publicly, but he doesn't say that about this.  Does he truly not know?

Kerry says advantages to publicly debating the move to war (albeit supposedly limited) are:  Time to work with allies, and time to build support with Americans.  Bull.  He is speaking like a good soldier.  Military strategy says to not give the opposition time to prepare for an attack.  The element of surprise has always been of immense importance in achieving success.  (Wow!  Even John McCain agrees with me!!  Imagine that!)

A family member asked about my earlier comment regarding the nation's mistrust of Congress saying:  If we don't trust them, why are they there?  My response?  Most folks are just waiting for another election.    Problem is, they shouldn't be sitting on their rumps waiting, they should be finding someone they WOULD vote for and encouraging them to run, donate to their campaigns, man the campaign offices. They should even consider running themselves!

If you want to help the Syrian people, donate money to your Christian disaster organizations that might be helping out over there. We should always turn to the Lord and not government when things are as confused and conflicted as the Syrian situation is. Pray for wisdom for America's political leaders, too, but don't send them any money.

Obama can't even save the lives of Americans in the Middle East.  Why is he trying to save Syrians? He has enough problems here at home without spending time, energy and money abroad.  What's that you say?  That's why he's allowing Congress to hold hearings?  Mighty generous of him to let the people's representatives participate, eh?  I wonder what's behind that agenda, since he's already said he doesn't need their support or input.
