Yes, Sir. They're Blaming Bush Again!

Now the Democrats are lying to themselves!  James Carville, a long-time leading Democrat operative, is saying Americans don't want to go into Syria because Bush's war against Hussein was a fiasco.  Can you believe that they are blaming Bush again!!  Carville, you are a hoot.

333,964 taxpayer funded murder of unborn babies (abortions) in America in 2011 alone - but we have to go to war in Syria over how many killed??  Who has the moral high ground now?

People need to quit trying to compare Bush going after Saddam to this Syria thing, because America is not the same as it was under Bush. But just know this, Putin, AMERICANS are the same!
How come democracies haven't survived and flourished in the Middle East? Because the people are not of the same mindset as Americans. And that mindset is based on an American's love for his fellow man, i.e. Christianity, not the murderous precepts of Muslims.
Can you believe it !?! Obama is saying that OUR congressmen shouldn't listen to us, their constituents IF we say no to supporting Obama on Syria!!! The PRESIDENT is telling the REPRESENTATIVES to ignore the people they represent !!!
If WW III comes to America and Americans were to seek sanctuary in a church, do you think the Muslims would care?
Yet another reason not to mess with the Syrian thing: It's my understanding that over the past 10 years of Mid East conflict, America has used up most of its ammunition stockpiles. That's okay because, believe it or not, munitions have a shelf-life. Unfortunately though, Obama never ordered more.

The Bible

For those who feel lost when you pull a Bible out because you have a worry and don't know where to start in the Bible - anywhere will do. There's something about reading the Word that brings peace. BUT, a little help here: the first five books of the Old Testament are the books of Jewish law (which was impossible to keep so God sent Jesus), the next twelve books are about the history of the Jewish people, THEN you get to the books you are probably looking for: the Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Solomon, the major prophets are awesome: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, but the twelve minor prophets are important, too. That is all there is to the Old Testament: Law, History, Wisdom, Major and Minor Prophets. Does that help?

The New Testament is even simpler: the first four Books are called The Gospels and tell of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. They all tell the same story, but they are written by four different men (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John); the next is known as Acts about the history of the Christian church and the spread of Christianity; the next nine are letters written to new Christians groups or churches in different towns like Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus... That is followed by letters written to individuals. If you're a new Christian these two groups would be pretty cool to read. And it ends with the virtually impossible to understand Book of Revelations. Revelations is so full of imagery you need to take a class on it!! Don't go there for awhile, but when you get there, it is magnificent.

The Jist of a Conversation

A very good friend of ours and I just had a wonderful conversation.  My opinions in the conversation were that, before America decides what to do in Syria, we have to know how America stands.  To put it a little closer to home, before I can go help my son, I need to know where John and I stand ourselves.  As much as we love our sons, if we aren't strong enough personally and financially and emotionally and physically, there's not much we can do for him.  We might need to go get our own house in order before we invade someone else's.

So, in my opinion, how does America stand?

I do not trust Obama's leadership in any venue, and Benghazi proves to me our military shouldn't trust him.  Ft. Hood also says Obama doesn't even stand up for Americans in America. (Workplace violence my eye!)
Our military capabilities have been degraded by Obama's orchestrated sequestration and downsizing.
Our military leadership, I fear, doesn't know how to fight.
Economically, America is too fragile.
America is not united on anything - and this is not going to unite us.
Even if America could find a unifying factor, Obama is not a person who can hold us together.
I personally believe the reason England voted to not participate in Syria is because they think Obama is a putz and they, too, believe he is a demagogue.
The world has -zero- respect for America - or they wouldn't be poking us in the eye.
America is not strong enough in and of itself to worry about what's happening elsewhere in the world.
And, oh by the way, America needs to stop it's own weapon of mass destruction: abortion.

This is not a hate-Obama litany.  They are facts.  I would have (had I been around then) trusted Roosevelt to lead America during World War II, and he was a Democrat.  When I was Mayor, the person I trusted most on Council was a black woman and a Democrat - and I would trust her in a heartbeat to lead this whole nation into a war! - so I'm not being a racist.

But, since this blog seems to be being read by folks in Russia and North Korea, don't you fools think for an instant that the American PEOPLE are not strong enough to whip your backsides all the way back across those oceans to your own countries.  We ARE individually the same Americans that we have always been:  independent, strong-willed, wily, and ARMED.  We don't need anybody's permission to stand our ground against evil.  Our military oath is to fight for America against enemies foreign and domestic.  As we say in Texas, you can bet your bottom dollar that we will do just that.

But go to Syria for the sake of Syrian's killing Syrian's with chemical weapons?  I think we should sit this one out and fight our own battles here at home.  (And, by the way, most folks I know in America own their own gas masks, just like Israel.)

Boardwalk? or Park Place?

I told you.  I told you, I told you, I told you.  They got behind closed doors and pulled out the Monopoly game.  Does anyone remember when Dick Armey came to the microphone in the House and voted to go to war in Iraq?  Do you remember the stress he showed?  It was because he thought he was being conned, but he just couldn't be totally certain.  Well, I daresay McCain will be able to relate now!

Once again the Senate - those highfalutin one hundred - have proven that they are completely out of touch with the American people.  Why, oh, why, do they think they are so much smarter than the average American.  Those folks put their pants on one leg at a time, just like you and I do.

I can NOT believe that ANYone is voting based on Obama's word.  The only "word" for Obama is "demagogue."  It means, quite literally, "a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power."

That word, demagogue, gets thrown out by the media and a lot of folks think "demi-god" is what is being said.  Demigod means "a person so outstanding as to seem to approach the divine."  Because we all should know by now that Obama is not a demigod, it's time for them to realize that he is a  "demagogue."

Once again it falls on the REAL representatives of the people:  The members of the House of Representatives.

I pray that God causes those members to be blind and deaf to the demagoguery of Barrack Hussein Obama and his minions!  Stand your ground, men and women of the United States House of Representatives.  The People have your back!

I DON'T THINK SO!

Ha!  I DON'T THINK SO!!  This new political blog of mine has just asked to use my current location and make it public!  I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT THINK SO!!

Five years ago I think the world would have embraced Obama as the President of the New World Order.  Now I think they probably have the true measure of the man.

The more I think about Obama's campaign team spinning his "red line" comment, the angrier I get.  He spins everything.  And I, like Greg Gutfeld, want to ban a word.  I ban the word "Spin."  To try and morph Obama's red line comment into America's comment, or the world's comment, is not a spin, it's a downright LIE.  Folks, we have simply GOT to start calling things what they are.  No more re-defining the English language.  A truth is a truth and a lie is a lie.  Got it?!

Obama - President of the New World Order

Does John McCain now see that working with the left is working with people who are so self-absorbed that they are incapable of seeing the world reality?  and where is Governor Chris Christie, potential 2016 Presidential candidate, on this Syria issue?

What do you expect Syria to do when we toss missiles their way?  Sit on their rumps?  We wouldn't be surprised if they attack Israel, but what if their response is to release a couple of tons of chemical weapons on their own people and tell the world that our bombs released those weapons?  What does the international community think about good ol' America then?

Republicans - NO! - Conservatives choices on the Affordable Care Act:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/richard-mourdock/the-gops-obamacare-dilemma/583914888313583

Why is it that in some states you can only register as a Democrat or Republican, while other states allow you to register as an Independent?  I even think there should be a fourth party:  Conservative.  Otherwise it would be way too easy for Democrats and RHINO'(Republican in Name Only) to hijack the "Independent" party.

What difference does it make - technology makes it too easy to hijack EVERY vote.  Well, technology and apathy and ignorance.

The definition of "is"...  What is this?  The mantra of the Democrats?
Dateline Russia:  (It's not enough to know what America thinks, we need to know what the world is thinking, too.)
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/09/04/201163/obama-i-didnt-draw-the-red-line.html#.UidlBz-wUat

Hmmm.  Is Obama again running for President of a New World Order by saying he's leading the charge of the world's drawing of a red line?

Everyone is all het up (as we say in Texas) about the "Crisis in Syria."  What about the MULTIPLE crisis' in America ???

The Cost

I don't understand why the American taxpayers keep having to cover the cost of Obama's dream fixes to healthcare and now the Middle East.  First it was money - now he wants the blood of our sons and daughters, husbands and fathers.  When Bush was in office, America was economically strong enough (and militarily strong enough) to do the preventative thing and try to stop those weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.  Obama has crushed our economy to the point that we can't afford the preventative.  It's like preventative maintenance on our cars - sometimes we can afford it and sometimes we can't.

Bill Clinton isn't supporting the Affordable Care Act - he's lobbying top Democrats for their support of Hillary's run for President in 2016.  Those two are becoming sad old hacks willing to sell their soul (and ours) so that they can go down in history as the first husband and wife Presidents.  It's all about them.

If Obama and the American military are concerned that chemical weapons may be used in America on Americans, why not do what Israel has done - issue gas masks to every man, woman, and child.  Can't afford it?  Hello.  It would be paid for by THE PEOPLE through their tax dollars!  What's that you say?  You SPENT ALL OF OUR TAX DOLLARS ON HIRING YOUR CZARS, PROMOTING THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT, UNEMPLOYMENT, THE BENGAHZI APOLOGY, TRANSPORTING MICHELLE'S ENTOURAGE ON YOUR ENDLESS VACATIONS..... ?!  That sounds like what a spoiled son would do - spend his parent's retirement and his children's inheritance all at the same time.

And, yes, I use capital letters AND italics AND exclamation points because I am not a monotone commentator.  Get used to it or get over it.

Personal

I was on my knees just now, praying to God and asking him to stop our sons pain.  Don't even fix the injury - just stop his pain.  A vision flashed into my mind of God sitting on His throne in heaven, looking down on me with enormous empathy and love.  Empathy means that He truly understands my grief.  I felt Him say, "Who is there to help My Son in His pain?  Even after His death on the cross for the sins of man, mankind still sins."  He said this with great love and kindness to let me know that He understands my grief.  Will He stop our sons pain?  I don't know, but I do know that He understands.  Maybe, just maybe, if you and I sin a bit less today, my sons pain will be a bit less.

Chicago Politics Stealing Your Money, Too.

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-08-20/business/ct-biz-0821-medicaid-cnsi-20130821_1_medicaid-program-illinois-department-cnsi

In March, Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana canceled Client Network Services Inc’s approximately $200 million multiyear contract with the state after news of a federal investigation into the deal, including allegations of bid-rigging, became public. (NICHOLAS KAMM, AFP/Getty Images)
Illinois is outsourcing part of its Medicaid program to a company that is under a federal grand jury investigation in Louisiana, was disqualified from bidding in Arkansas, was ushered out of Maine and has been the subject of complaints in Utah.

The black marks against the company, including its firing in Louisiana in March, haven't deterred Illinois officials, who say they are confident of their recently announced plan to use the company's services through a partnership with Michigan.

What?

(Keep your eyes on ALL of the balls Obama is supposedly juggling.  Don't you take your eyes off of any of the things Washington, D.C. has caused to be in motion.  Refer to The List.)

Is this Syrian thing, coming to Congress for a vote of approval, is it all about backing Republicans into a corner and forcing them to increase the debt limit and lifting Sequestration in order to pay for this "strike?"  That, of course, and Obama saving face after declaring a "red line."

Here's an interesting list from http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-09-03/why-did-obama-choose-syria compiled by J.P.Morgan Asset Management:

If Obama hasn't sent the weapons he promised, why don't we try that before tossing rockets?  Besides, now we don't even know where Assad has moved the targets to.  Give the weapons to the rebels and let them deal with it on their own.  How about that?  (Uh, tell me again who makes up the "rebels.)

Ah-ha!  Obama is coming to Congress because America "striking" Syria is against international law!! and the United Nations has publicly said so.  AGAIN Obama ignores the rule of law (even if it is a UN law...), and he, on behalf of America, is encouraging other countries to do the same.

How?

Because Obama and all of Congress have lost almost ALL credibility with the American people, HOW are we supposed to believe a single solitary thing that is being said in these hearings on Syria?

How can Kerry talk about American values when he and his party sanction, fund, and promote mass human abortion in America ?  Weapons of mass destruction seems to include scalpels and forceps.

John Boehner, Republican leader and Speaker of the House, announced he is in support of taking action in Syria - and the stock market tanked.  You would think the Stock Market would like our going to war because it will increase manufacturing, corporate revenues and jobs.

Totally different thought process:  There are some really rich Democrats out there.  Do you think it's possible for them to use their money to influence stock market fluctuations?  Is that why IT is no longer a trustworthy indicator of what's going on in America?

Is Kerry pulling a "Pelosi?"  Approve this action on Syria and then you will find out what's in it.

Age has nothing to do with maturity.  Maturity comes usually from having suffered some consequences for ones actions or inactions and learning that thinking or acting (or not acting) comes with irreversible consequences for oneself or family or nation.  In my opinion (and remember, it's my blog :), in my opinion Obama's "red line" comment is proof positive of his personal and political immaturity.

Marco Rubio just responded to Kerry:  I assure you it will be in the resolution."  They are already drafting the language beginning with, "Be it resolved..."  Words matter folks.  The INSTANT the voting is complete - regardless of which way it goes - you had better be prepared to duck and cover.  You must follow this discussion on Syria.  And you must read what the opposition has to say or you will be fooled by your own lack of information.  You must be intellectually honest, not just be a blind party loyalist.  Clear the cobwebs, my friends.  Use YOUR brain.

Taunting

Kerry says, "If Assad would be foolish enough to use chemical weapons after whatever action we take..."  Hello.  He was foolish enough to do it - twice! - already.  Don't you know, Kerry (and Obama) when you are being taunted?

Reserving comments until confidential discussions take place tomorrow, and hearing talking heads use the phrase "political capital," does that mean behind closed doors the Monopoly game comes out and political deals will be negotiated behind those doors?  Vote for action in Syria and we'll give you Boardwalk and Park Place; vote against it and you may end up with the "Go directly to jail" card.

Senator Murphy from Connecticut says he's thankful that Obama trusts the American people and their elected representatives to join him in this Syria question.  Well, why doesn't he trust us on the Affordable Care Act nonsense?  Only 59% are against doing anything in Syria; 80% are against the ACA.  Why does Obama feel a need to come to Congress on 59% opposition, but not 80% opposition?

Now Kerry is saying chemical weapons have been used "not once, or twice, but in the teens."  I'm curious, are these the same chemical weapons that Saddam Hussein moved out of Iraq before we could capture or destroy them?  And are they the same chemical weapons that Assad is now moving out of Syria before we can capture or destroy them?

Obama says that Syria has 1,000 tons of chemical weapons stockpiled.  Do the math.  That's 2,000,000 pounds of chemicals.  How did the international community allow that to happen?  Two million pounds!!  Tell me again what purpose the United Nations serves?

Senator Rand Paul says all of this going to Congress business is mere theatre IF Obama takes action in Syria even if Congress votes, on behalf of America, to not take unilateral action.  You go, Senator Paul.

Who is doing the taunting now?  Obama is taunting Congress and the American people.

Any comments will come to me privately.  If they add to the conversation - whether I agree with them or not - I will post them.  If they are full of discord and wrath or are not grounded in sound facts, I will NOT post them.  It's my blog.  Be civil or be quiet.  I love a good political conversation; I abhor tactless arguments.  I admire folks who can talk politics - or religion - and remain respectful.

Where?

Where are we going to get the personnel necessary to accomplish Obama's "red line" response?  He's been downsizing the military.  He's been "retiring" mature, seasoned military minds because they haven't agreed with his policies.  Now those policies require those with a different mind to back him up.  Where are they?  And why would they (back him up)?

Asking his military advisors what the military is capable of is totally different that deciding what he is going to ask them to do.  Simply because the Pentagon says "it can be done," doesn't mean there is one ounce of wisdom in doing "it."

Will this action in Syria cost Obama his Nobel Peace Prize?  Will he have to give back the $1 million dollar prize?

How can General Dempsey, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, from the Pentagon, NOT have Syrian troop numbers, pro and con, committed to memory??!!  That's like me not knowing how much money I have (or don't have) in my bank account!  It's kind of important to my decision-making processes!  He says in additional testimony that he has information he'd rather not share publicly, but he doesn't say that about this.  Does he truly not know?

Kerry says advantages to publicly debating the move to war (albeit supposedly limited) are:  Time to work with allies, and time to build support with Americans.  Bull.  He is speaking like a good soldier.  Military strategy says to not give the opposition time to prepare for an attack.  The element of surprise has always been of immense importance in achieving success.  (Wow!  Even John McCain agrees with me!!  Imagine that!)

A family member asked about my earlier comment regarding the nation's mistrust of Congress saying:  If we don't trust them, why are they there?  My response?  Most folks are just waiting for another election.    Problem is, they shouldn't be sitting on their rumps waiting, they should be finding someone they WOULD vote for and encouraging them to run, donate to their campaigns, man the campaign offices. They should even consider running themselves!

If you want to help the Syrian people, donate money to your Christian disaster organizations that might be helping out over there. We should always turn to the Lord and not government when things are as confused and conflicted as the Syrian situation is. Pray for wisdom for America's political leaders, too, but don't send them any money.

Obama can't even save the lives of Americans in the Middle East.  Why is he trying to save Syrians? He has enough problems here at home without spending time, energy and money abroad.  What's that you say?  That's why he's allowing Congress to hold hearings?  Mighty generous of him to let the people's representatives participate, eh?  I wonder what's behind that agenda, since he's already said he doesn't need their support or input.

Why?

I seem to have an opinion on virtually everything.  I do my best to make them informed decisions.
I've been interested in our (America's) different forms of government (city, county, national) since our youngest son wanted to start hanging out at pool halls, and I thought hanging out in a bowling alley might be a good compromise for us.  Unfortunately, our little town didn't have a bowling alley.

Hmm.  How to get someone to build one in our town?  No clue.  Some little piece of information I had picked up somewhere told me that a City Council might be or need to be involved.  So, I called City Hall and asked when and where the Council met.

On the appointed night, I grabbed my knitting and showed up.  I attended every meeting for weeks, just listening.  I got a lot of knitting done.  But, like I said, I seem to have an opinion on virtually everything.  Ultimately, I signed up for Citizen Input and shared some of those opinions.

One thing led to another, and I found myself sitting on City Council!  Then I was elected mayor.  That was twenty years ago.  We've retired to a little hobby farm in East Texas now.  Sort of.

My husband has become a medical traveler - courtesy of the Affordable Care Act.  Almost immediately following its passage, hospitals began drastic cost-cutting acts including replacing long-time (and therefore high pay) employees with right-out-of-school staff at minimum pay scale.

What man meant for evil, God means for God to those who follow Him. And so we travel all over America.  You can follow our travels on my other blog, TheTravelersTwo.blogspot.com.  But THIS blog is about my opinions on America today.  I may post once a day - or a hundred times a day.
